Tupac was not only a legendary lyricist but also a chef! A new pop-up restaurant idea will open its doors on September 13th at 7pm in the Fulton Mall in Fresno, CA employing menu ideas written by Tupac himself.
Tupac allegedly left many notes on recipes and even conceptualized the logo and name of his Puwamekka Café. The Café logo features an ankh symbol, branding slogans and a drawing of bathrooms labeled “Playaz” and “Divaz.”
Local restaurants Fresno Burger, Take 3, and Sam Hensen (a marketing director) have joined forces to open the café based on Tupac’s original sketches.
The menu will feature a California Love Chicken Sandwich, Hennessey Apple Butter Chicken Wings, and even Thug Passion Cake Pops!
The opening is set to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Tupac’s death and will feature a Tupac art show and local musicians performing their favorite Tupac tracks.
